Mosquitos!

A friend of mine and I were discussing a wish that nagging old mosquitos didn't exist. Well, we supposed a horrific consequence might be that malaria would then cease to exist, populations would explode, food stocks would be consumed, and widespread starvation and death would take place. How about that?
