Mosquitos!

A friend of mine and I were discussing a wish that nagging old mosquitos didn't exist. Well, we supposed a horrific consequence might be that malaria would then cease to exist, populations would explode, food stocks would be consumed, and widespread starvation and death would take place. How about that?

The background story of the monkey's paw can be found elsewhere on the Internet. The basic story is this: a man buys a curious monkey's paw artifact and is told it grants three wishes. His wishes, however, have horrific consequences and he uses his last wish to undo the previous ones.
